Here’s the slightly hooky Optimo - Hogmanay End of the Decade Poptimo Mix, which was only available at their Hogmanay Party, and features a mix of Yowser Yowser Yowser they did for us (available properly in March).
We’ll be playing in Glasgow at Optimo on Sunday 21 February 2010.
Come along and see us.

Fresh off the back of supporting Soulwax for two sold out shows at Brixton Academy in December, Gyratory System are now set to release the ‘Yowser Yowser Yowser EP’ with four new tracks to accompany the new take on ‘Yowser Yowser Yowser’ from the LP. Dr Andrew Blick, the effects trumpet player, producer and driving force behind Gyratory System has once again invented some of the most original and “out there” sonics you’re likely to hear for a long time. All of which are sure to grab your attention and give you some insight into the recording and production technique he created dubbed ‘The Process’.
It’s been described as “sounding like a marching band on acid”, which seems quite apt although what might surprise is how comfortable it sits on the dancefloor, something we doubt was considered during ‘The Process’. The E.P will be followed in March by a ‘Yowser Yowser Yowser Remix EP’, featuring mixes from Twitch (Optimo), DJ Egor, Cherrystones, Meek Joe and Alalal.
Gyratory System will also be taking the Process on the road for a mini-tour in Feb:
11th Feb - Manchester - Deaf Institute (With Ebsen & The Witch and Sian Alice Group)
12th Feb - Sheffield - Bungalows & Bears
13th Feb - Leeds - A Nation Of Shopkeepers
16th Feb - London - White Heat @ Madame JoJos
20th Feb - London - Cable Street Riot at Jamboree, Cable Street Studios
21st Feb - Glasgow - Optimo
27th Feb- London - The Rest Is Noise (supporting DUM DUM GIRLS) (TBC)

‘Mind-bogglingly brilliant bonkers electronica’ - Huw Stephens, BBC Radio 1
‘Like a score written by Kraftwerk and Looney Tunes…slightly maddening and totally compelling…this lurchy, lovely…thing’ - NME, 8/10 album review
Following the critical success of the debut album, ‘The Sound-Board Breathes’, and being invited to support Soulwax at their recent London shows, Dr. Andrew Blick and his Gyratory System project return on 22 February 2010 with The ‘Yowser Yowser Yowser’ EP featuring a brand new version of the title track and four new b-sides. ‘At last: a home-grown act that can hold its own alongside the boundary-pushing, post-rock and techno-informed heavy groove records that have come out of America, Canada and Japan over the last couple of years’ - The Quietus, Ranked 7th in best 40 albums of 2009
