Gyratory System is a live/electronica project started by Andrew Blick (production, trumpet, sound treatments).

Featuring a range of musicians including live instrumentalists Robin Blick (reeds, brass) and James Weaver (bass, synthesiser) Gyratory System have released two critically acclaimed albums; 'The Sound-Board Breathes' in 2009 and 'New Harmony' in 2011.

‘Utility Music’

We now have a title for our third album: ‘Utility Music’. It follows on from the critically acclaimed ‘The Sound-Board Breathes’ (2009) and ‘New Harmony’ (2011).

Work has been taking place since autumn 2010 and it is now not far off completion.

Expect some jazz, afrobeat and krautrock influences, alongside much else.

RECORD STORE DAY TOMORROW (16 April 2011)

Gyratory System playing the Rough Trade East vs 93 Feet East Party. On at midnight.

It is free entry, and will probably be a road block (look at this line up).

To make sure you get in grab a wristband during the day from Rough Trade East when you are buying your records.

You’ll be able to get the album New Harmony from record stores on 16 April 2011 in advance of online retailers distributing it on Monday 18 April 2011.
